ACCA
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, is an independent professional body of Chartered Accountants in the U.K.
It was founded in 1904 and its also the largest to operate on an international basis. It awards its own qualification after successful completion of the ACCA examinations and three years of practical experience.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Professional Examination Route (PER)
Importantly, For entry to ACCAʼs Professional Qualification, you must be at least 18 years old and meet at least one of the criteria shown below:
- (a) Five separate subjects passed, including English and Mathematics in either NECO or WAEC
- (b) University Matriculation Examination
- (c) B.sc in any field
- (d) National Diploma (OND/ND) or HND
Besides, for those who do not meet the PER criteria above, there is rather an alternative method of entry explained below:
COURSE DURATION
The course duration depends upon your background and hard work. Although If you are a University graduate, you are entitled to exemptions from the examinations and the average period is usually 1-2 years.
If you are a high school graduate, rather the average completion period is usually 2-3 years. You will need to complete 14 papers in total. A maximum of nine papers in the fundamentals level is basically available for exemption.
The ACCA Qualification exam syllabus is divided into two levels; Fundamentals and Professional.
The Fundamentals level is nonetheless divided into two modules; Knowledge and Skills.
